I came here for lunch today, extremely polite and courteous, food was prepared very quickly, very fresh, and the flavour and texture was amazing. Great place for a date or to grab a quick bite. Also everything is local and organic!

My wife and I decided to go to Seasonal 56 for her birthday dinner. It was a small cozy restaurant with unique decorations and quiet music playing in the background. We were actually able to have a conversation during dinner. The staff members were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu / food. The dinner was delicious and so was the dessert, but the portions a little bit small for the cost. Overall, it was a great dinner and we will come back again.

It was a great experience for my wife and me. Friendly staff and really good food.... what more could I want? My wife had the short ribs which were fall apart tender with a nice juicy gravy. I had the duck which was moist and tender. Both dishes were great. Best of all was the 3 taster wine sampler that I had. I've been to quite a few restaurants but this was the first time I've seen that on the menu, simply great idea. It's a higher end restaurant (food quality wise) but the prices weren't out of line with places like Earls or the Keg. Don't be fooled by the exterior. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. It's a little small so it's probably a good idea to book ahead just in case. And yes, try the creme brule trio. :)

There's 2 sides to Shannon/Seasonal56. On one side, the restaurant and food for catering is very good. The service was great and the people were very nice to deal with. They worked with us to create a great menu and work around the allergies we had for the catering. If you have no problems that arise with your catered event, they're great to go with. However, if you have any problems that arise, they are very difficult to deal with. Their only concern was themselves and the money they wanted to make. We had them cater our wedding, and the price was fairly reasonable and they were very nice at first. Then they came to view the venue and realized there was a hill for a driveway. Long story short, they asked us to pay to rent a truck while they would deliver the food, but if they damaged the truck we would have to pay the deductible -- I declined. Two days before my wedding, they told us to move the wedding location or they would pull out and not cater our wedding and we would get a portion of our money back. Instead I offered, they bring there regular vehicle and we would have friends carry their food up the hill. (the owner of the venue, a family friend, ended up bringing all the food up in a small pickup truck instead.) Then the day of, as we were going along with our reception, after the caterers being at the wedding for 2.5 hours from setup. They told us to serve the cake immediately or they wouldn't serve it at all, they said they couldn't have staff there all day and then begrudgingly said they would serve it but "you learn something new from every catering experience and some you will never do again". It was pretty frustrating to deal with on my wedding day. Unfortunately, i will never recommend them to anybody.

The atmosphere is so relaxed, with cool jazz music in the background. The place is small & quite, but cozy; perfect for a date night - you can actually hear each other speak! The food is delicious - I had the burger and my husband had the steak - both very delicious and presented in a unique way since all the ingredients they use are local. If you get a chance, try their blueberry iced tea ...the best iced tea I've ever tasted! I love that everything is made when you order it, that means a fresh meal! The prices equivalent to The Keg, and I don't mind paying for good food, good service and good company. Definitely a must try!
